YouTube Strategy
Case Study: The Bamboo and Panda YouTube channel was launched in 2017, co-created with Emma González after my recent move from China to Spain. We identified an emerging niche: Spanish-language content focused on Korean skincare. While Emma, the skincare expert, hosted the videos and wrote the scripts, I was responsible for shooting, editing, and developing the social media strategy. Attention to detail in titles, descriptions, and thumbnails played a critical role in the channel’s success. Within a year, the channel was monetized and began receiving collaboration requests.
Diplomatic & Cultural Initiatives
I have had the opportunity to contribute photography and video services to numerous events hosted by the Spain-US Foundation. My work has included capturing interviews with key figures, providing coverage of official visits from U.S. congressmembers, and editing videos for large-scale event projections. I’ve worked closely with the foundation to ensure that the visual content aligns with the organization’s objectives, contributing to the success of each event. Additionally, I’ve collaborated with the Korean Culture Center in Madrid to produce content that showcased the vibrancy of Korean culture.
Short Video Documentary
Case Study: El Sobrino de Botín in Madrid, Spain, has been in operation since 1725 and holds the Guinness World Record for the oldest restaurant in the world. It serves traditional Castilian cuisine, such as cochinillo (suckling pig), roast leg of lamb, and jamón, among other dishes. Tradition permeates the entire restaurant, from the centuries-old wine cellar now used as a dining room to the wood-fire oven that has been continuously lit since the restaurant’s inception. I had the privilege of producing a video for Good Insider that captures the essence of this historic dining experience. My role involved capturing the ambiance, food, and rich history of the establishment, highlighting its significance as a cultural icon in Madrid.
